Urgent Appeal for the Safe Return of Hostages Held in the Gaza Strip

For over 40 days, at least 239 hostages, amongst them babies, children, women, elderly, and people with disabilities, have been held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip. These hostages are held in life-threatening conditions, with no communication allowed with their families and no possibility of receiving visits from the Red Cross. For over 40 days, the hostages remained incommunicado, without access to proper treatment, food, water, medical supplies, or visitations from the Red Cross. The suffering of their families can only be described as cruel and inhumane treatment, which must be stopped. IJL reiterates its call for pressing decisive action to bring them home now!
