IJL calls on the UN to fulfill its duty to protect the human rights of Jewish people. On 10 December as the UN celebrates universal human rights – IJL calls on the UN to fulfill its duty to protect the human rights of Jewish people. On 10 December, we remind the international community of its duty to ensure the safe return of the hostages brutally kidnapped by Hamas on the Black Saturday of October 7. Hostages – including an 11-year-old baby and his 4-year-old brother – held in captivity for over two months! On this day, we call the UN, founded in the aftermath of the Holocaust, to take decisive actions against the tsunami of antisemitism. To stand by Jewish victims, to unequivocally denounce perpetrators of gross violations against the Jewish people. This is a time for all who believe that human rights are the legacy of mankind to step up and clearly say – we will not accept racism; we will not accept calls for genocide; we will not accept antisemitism.
