At the UN Human Rights Council, Rebecca Bohbot delivered a heartfelt plea: Bring her husband and all hostages home!
Hamas abducted Rebecca’s husband, Elkana, on October 7. He is still being held hostage in Gaza, with 52 others, those still alive denied medical care and subjected to inhumane treatment and torture.
Yet the COI’s report, at the heart of the HRC meeting, shamefully barely mentions the hostages. In yet another blatantly biased report, they fail even to call for their release.
It is time for institutions entrusted with protecting human rights to uphold their duty—not abuse it. The international community must demand the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held by Hamas.
BRING THEM HOME NOW!
Rebecca’s statement, delivered on behalf of the IJL, WJC, and EUJS, was facilitated by the Hostages’ Families Forum.
