At the 58th Session of the UN Human Rights Council, IJL addressed the continuation of the alarming escalation of global antisemitism since October 7, 2023 and its connection to the misuse of international institutions.

A global tidal wave of antisemitism has surged since October 7, 2023—this is a fundamental human rights emergency.

The spread of distorted and libelous narratives about Israel—normalized and amplified by the abuse of UN institutions and international legal bodies—has fueled this dangerous trend.

At the Human Rights Council session, IJL called  on the international community to act against the antisemitic tide and to protect the integrity of legal frameworks and UN institutions by preventing their weaponization and misuse. The credibility and effectiveness of our global human rights system depend on it.
