Pnina Sharvit Baruch

Col. (Ret.) Adv. Pnina Sharvit Baruch is, since 2012, a Senior research fellow and the head of the program on law and national security and involvement in the Israel Institute for National Security Studies (INSS). The goal of The Law and National Security Program is to deal with a variety of legal topics relating to national security, including, inter alia, aspects relating to the use of force, the laws of armed conflict, the implementation of security measures, laws of occupation, counter-terrorism and legal aspects of the conflict. Emphasis is given to research and analysis of the legal dimensions of current events in the national security policy arena. Baruch is also involved in projects on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, which includes analysis of all aspects of the conflict and potential solutions, and also participation in ‘track II’ negotiations.
