IJL ELECTION COMMITTEE’S DECISIONS

(October 22, 2020)

The Elections Committee approved the list of candidates standing for elections for the position of President, Executive Committee and Board of Governors.

One list was submitted to the IJL’s headquarters in TLV on October 22, 2020. The Committee reviewed the list and confirmed that each candidate is eligible to vote and stand for election, i.e. all pre-conditions according to IJL’s By Laws were met:

  1. Payment of annual membership fees before September 22;
  2. Submission of application to serve as members of the Board;
  3. Submission of CV; and
  4. Submission of 50 signatures of support to his/her candidacy from members of the Association registered in the electoral roll (items B-D were submitted before October 22 as required).

The committee noted that:

  • All relevant documents are filed in IJL’s office in TLV;
  • Only one list of candidates was submitted to the IJL; and that
  • One of the positions of Vice President remained vacant at this point. Once a suitable candidate will be found he will be brought before the Board of Governors for its approval. This will be resolved at the congress (as it is the adequate forum to pass such a resolution as it is associated to IJL’s By Laws).
